Energy-saving cooling towers, reducing the water supply lift of the cooling towers, and developing the design of water distribution devices in the towers. Companies such as Shanghai Feikang and Jiangxi Mist Cool have developed jet cooling towers and hydraulically driven cooling towers to replace fan gearboxes and motors to save electricity. In terms of large fan blades for mechanical cooling towers, Shanghai Chemical Machinery, Shandong Laizhou, Jiangsu Haiou, etc. optimized the blade shape design and used glass fiber reinforced plastic materials to vacuum the blades to achieve the purpose of light weight, high strength, corrosion resistance and power saving.

The FRP shroud is used for the air outlet at the top of the natural ventilation cooling tower, with a height of 3 to 5 meters and a diameter of about 10 to 5 meters. It is a large special-shaped structure. The deflector is made of FRP material, which is lightweight, high-strength, easy to install, corrosion resistant, and has good diversion effect. The air outlet deflector of the domestic cooling tower is now all FRP.

It is reported that my country’s wastewater and sewage discharge is increasing at a rate of 1.8 billion tons per year. Statistics show that by the end of 2010, China’s sewage discharge has exceeded 64 billion tons. With the huge demand for hydraulic FRP products in the water treatment industry, domestic FRP pipeline equipment companies continue to upgrade their products, basically satisfying domestic demand. Large-diameter glass fiber reinforced plastic sand-incorporated pipelines have made great contributions to the construction of underground water networks in my country’s cities in the past 10 years. Water supply and drainage pipes with a diameter of more than 1 meter highlight the superiority of FRP sand pipes in terms of cost performance and gradually replace concrete pipes, ductile iron pipes and steel pipes.

In recent years, domestic large-scale glass fiber reinforced plastic water supply and drainage pipelines have formed an industrial cluster, and brand enterprises such as Yongchang, Tianlian, Dayou, Jinwei, Lianzhong, Xinshi, Changjian, Honglong, and Hanwei have emerged. It is worth mentioning that the water supply and drainage pipelines of Xinjiang Yongchang and Zhongfu Lianzhong have entered overseas markets. Zhejiang Xinshi Company also signed a 30 million large order for the reconstruction of underground water supply and drainage FRP pipelines at Kunming Airport this year. It is understood that FRP pipeline equipment companies such as Knette, Lianyungang Weide and other FRP pipeline equipment companies are actively carrying out technical improvements to sand adding equipment, and their pipeline equipment is going to the Middle East in batches. In addition, focusing on the selection of FRP pipes for various water treatment systems, Qingdao Langtong Company has developed continuous winding pipe making equipment of 2600～4000m/m, Qingdao Shansu has developed glass fiber reinforced PP-R extrusion water pipe equipment, Wuhan Bopai and Wuhan Jiuwei Company have developed a high-performance CNC filament winding machine for water treatment pressure vessels. Chongqing International and Hebei Jinniu Company developed high-strength fiberglass winding yarn with water-soluble epoxy surface treatment for fiberglass pressure equipment.

At present, industrial water consumption is increasing, and traditional water treatment methods for wastewater and sewage can no longer adapt to modern urban water use. The use of foreign reverse osmosis membrane separation technology for industrial water and water purification is a general trend. The purified water after advanced treatment has already reached the standard of clean water.

The principle of reverse osmosis glass fiber reinforced plastic pressure vessel is the key equipment of high-performance water treatment technology that has emerged after the introduction of foreign membrane water treatment technology in my country in recent years. This equipment is a pressure-resistant, fatigue-resistant epoxy-based FRP pressure vessel based on the American ASME standard. At present, reverse osmosis water treatment equipment has six major production areas in the country: the southern Jiangsu area of ​​Jiangsu, the Hengshui area of ​​Hebei, the Shenzhen area of ​​Dongguan, Guangdong, the Beijing area, the Shanghai area and the Harbin area. The “Lepu” pressure vessel of Harbin Lepu Industrial Development Center has superior performance, leading the country. Typical domestic water treatment projects have the footprint of “Lepu” and are exported to Europe, America, the Middle East, India, Australia, Russia and other regions and countries. According to statistics, the total volume of these four types of tower cranes and pipeline FRP products is close to one million tons, and it is increasing year by year at a rate of 15%.
