Goldwind’s direct-drive permanent magnet fan R TD S modeling and simulation succeeded

The reporter learned from Goldwind that the RTDS platform direct-drive permanent magnet fan modeling and simulation conducted by the Inner Mongolia Electric Power Research Institute and Goldwind Technology has recently been successful. Relevant experts said that this shows that the permanent magnet wind turbine independently developed by Goldwind has excellent low voltage ride-through capability, which is of great significance for promoting the development of “grid-friendly” wind power.

According to reports, RTDS (Reeal Tim e Digital Sim ulator) is a real-time digital simulator, which is a device specially used to study electromagnetic transient phenomena in power systems. This modeling simulation successfully docked the actual control system of Goldwind’s 1.5MW direct drive permanent magnet unit with the RTDS platform in less than a week, and realized the real-time online simulation of the direct drive permanent magnet wind turbine grid-connected.

“This means that through simple operations, it is possible to conduct scientific analysis and research on the problems of direct-drive permanent magnet fans in the complex power system due to the grid connection of the fans, and to achieve continuous optimization of the grid connection characteristics of the fans.” Inner Mongolia Electric Power Branch The relevant experts of the Academy said, “This move will greatly improve the safety of the power system and reduce the risk of testing through the actual power grid.”
