Precautions for use:

1. Check whether the strap and handle of the instrument case are firm before starting work.

2. Before taking out the instrument after unpacking, you must be aware of the way and position of the instrument in the box. When loading and unloading the instrument, you must hold the handle. Do not hold the lower part of the Display unit with your hands and base. Never take the lens barrel of the instrument, otherwise it will affect the internal fixed parts, thereby reducing the accuracy of the instrument. Hold the base part of the instrument, or hold the lower part of the telescope stand with both hands. After using the instrument, first cover the objective lens cover and wipe off the dust on the surface. All parts should be placed properly when packing, and there should be no obstacles when closing the lid.

3. When observing the instrument under sunlight, the instrument should be covered with an umbrella and a sunshade, so as not to affect the accuracy of the observation. When measuring in a messy environment, the instrument must be guarded by someone. When the instrument is set up on a smooth surface, use a string (or thin lead wire) to connect the three legs of the tripod to prevent it from falling.

4. When setting up the instrument on a tripod, use a wooden tripod as much as possible, because the use of a metal tripod may cause vibration, which will affect the measurement accuracy.

5. When the distance between the measuring stations is far, the instrument should be unloaded when moving the station and carried on the back after packing. Before walking, check whether the instrument case is locked and whether the seat belt is fastened. When the distance between the measuring stations is relatively close, the instrument can be leaned on the shoulder together with the tripod when moving the station, but the instrument should be placed as vertically as possible.

6. Before moving to the station, check whether the connection between the instrument and the tripod is firm. When moving, the brake screw should be slightly closed to prevent the instrument from shaking during the moving.

7. If any part of the instrument fails, do not use it reluctantly. It should be checked and repaired immediately, otherwise the damage to the instrument will be aggravated.

8. The optical components should be kept clean. If they are stained with dust, they must be wiped off with a brush or soft lens cleaning paper. It is forbidden to touch any optical element surface of the instrument with your fingers. When cleaning the surface of the lens of the instrument, first use a clean brush to remove dust, and then use a clean cordless cotton cloth moistened with alcohol to gently wipe from the center of the lens to the outside. Do not use any thinner or gasoline when removing the dust on the instrument case, and use a clean cloth dampened with neutral detergent to scrub.

9. When working in a humid environment, after the operation is finished, dry the moisture and dust on the surface of the instrument with a soft cloth before packing. After returning to the office, immediately unpack the instrument and put it in a dry place, let it dry thoroughly before packing it in the box.

10. In winter, when the temperature difference between indoor and outdoor is large, the instrument should be unpacked after a period of time when the instrument is moved out or indoors.
